Applied Cryptography Engineer (Rust)

You will be working directly alongside Layer1's engineering leadership, so this role comes with significant autonomy and responsibility. We are deeply involved with a Rust-based coin with interactive transaction construction. As Applied Cryptography Engineer at Layer1, you will:

1. Contribute to the project's general open-source protocol development
2. Write advanced software tooling to interface with and analyze the protocol network
3. Explore and implement Confidential Assets
4. Build Critical infrastructure for the private and confidential exchange of digital assets on top of Confidential Assets

Requirements

There are no hard requirements and we are more interested in learning about you and your unique background. Preferably, you demonstrably have:

1. Deep experience in systems programming and distributed systems, with an ability to write highly performant and low-level code
2. Prove track-record of working on open-source projects with large systemic complexity
3. Strong communication and collaboration skills
4. Extensive knowledge of Rust
5. Functional Knowledge of cryptography and cryptocurrencies
