About Nifty Gateway

Nifty Gateway is the premiere, all-in-one platform that makes it easy to buy, sell, and store digital art and collectibles, otherwise known as Nifties (or NFTs). Nifty Gateway was founded by Duncan and Griffin Cock Foster in 2018, and acquired by Gemini in 2019, with the belief that crypto networks and the blockchain have the power to fundamentally change the art world by creating greater choice, independence, and opportunity for artists, creators, and collectors.

A dynamic team of designers, engineers, researchers, our team blends beauty with tech to create a world-class product interface for our exchange. We are inspired by design, fueled by data, and obsessed with the user, both retail and institution.

The Role: Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll be working on the Nifty Gateway frontend. Our product is built in React, and you'll be a core contributor. By driving user experience and design, your work will onboard the next wave of NFT digital art collectors and you'll play a large part in scaling this product.  

Responsibilities:

• Write code that works quickly and efficiently
• Ensure everything you write is trustworthy and secure 
• Work effectively with a high degree of autonomy
• Interface with other team members to collaborate and build mission critical portions of the app
• Be an influencer of the evolving NFT digital art space

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of engineering experience 
• Track record with React & Javascript
• Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail oriented, and delivering results in an organized manner
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

• An interest in and general understanding of art, fashion, sports, e-sports and/or collectibles industries
• Familiarity and interest with nifties and digital collectibles — we're an NFT company after all!
• Knowledge of NFTs and Ethereum
