Description

RevLifter is an award-winning platform, created by a team of digital engineers and marketers from the leading lights of ecommerce, digital and affiliate marketing. We work across many verticals and markets with world-leading brands including ASOS, EE, HP, Harvey Nichols, and Samsung. We use hyper-personalisation to drive even better results for our retail customers, who constantly amaze us with their innovation.

In technical terms, RevLifter is an international AI-powered technology, using live basket data to incentivise customers based on our clients’ goals. Our platform gathers real-time signals from users to deliver real-time hyper-personalised offers across the entire ecommerce journey, which helps to solve challenges around lowering cart abandonment, lifting revenue, and more.

After closing our Series A at the end of last year, we’ve gone from strength to strength - having doubled in size and welcomed some incredible new talent and clients to boot!

We’ve supported our team in adapting to current circumstances whilst also looking forward to the future and developing a culture as innovative as our business - we support flexible working and individuals from all walks of life and this role would be remote, but based in the UK.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help with our growing volumes of data. We process a mixture of real time data via our Kafka pipeline and offline imports in order to drive our realtime personalised deals platform and all the reporting requirements associated with it.

This is a brand new role helping to enhance our main data pipeline, ensuring that it remains responsive and correct with our ever-increasing volumes of data. You’ll be required to create real time processors that build our user profiles, batch jobs to feed our dashboards and the ML systems as well as enhancing our existing infrastructure to support the business needs.

You will also be required to get involved with the planning and implementation of our next generation of data-capture, processing and reporting, from the evaluation and selection of tech choices through to prototyping and implementation, to ensure that RevLifter is capable of processing orders of magnitude more data than we do currently.

Requirements

  • A wide range of experience with different types of data processing, from realtime through to batch and ETL.
  • experience or a keen interest in machine learning.
  • Confident in querying and organising large volumes of data.
  • Understanding and experience with user privacy, GDPR compliance and safe-guarding personal data.
  • Experience with AWS for our systems or other cloud providers is essential.
  • Scala with Spark (which we use for most of our data pipeline work) experience is required, although if you have only used Spark with Python and are willing to learn Scala then we’d like to hear from you.
  • SQL is also heavily used at RevLifter, so strong experience is required

Benefits

We are a talented group of thought leaders – shaping the future of real-time personalisation. We embody a shared passion, ambition and exceptional drive for success in everything we do and plan on reflecting this within our company culture.

We’re also a social bunch who enjoy each other’s company in and out of work (when we’re able). We’ve adapted to current circumstances and created a flexible working life for all; remote and flexible working are supported and we continue to work on our culture and benefits to suit employees from all walks of life, all over the World.
