The Role

You'll be working in a technically innovative environment, building features that impact both SEO and our users, mentoring and coaching other engineers, and iterating and improving your teams work based on short feedback loops. Sound like your thing?

The Stack

We use React, NextJS, Node, Express & Typescript for our front end.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features to attract users from Search Engines
• Design and implement technical solutions to improve how Search Engines crawl and index content on the website
• Partner with Data Science to automate and scale critical SEO workflows
• Balance the implementation of features that are user-facing with the SEO requirements
• Line manage junior engineers to help them grow
• Support the team to deliver weekly features/upgrades
• Work closely with the SEO manager, design, product management and backend teams to ensure that new features are implemented efficiently and effectively for scale and performance.
• Communicate any engineering challenges faced when supporting a wide range of devices.
• Work cross functionally with other Web Developers to meet Technical OKR’s and continuously push the function forwards

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Javascript
• A strong understanding of Server Side Rendering
• Experience with key frontend technologies (frameworks, compilers, bundlers, testing libraries).
• Experience creating and consuming RESTful API services
• Experience in a data-driven business
• Experience working in a B2C product-based technical environment
• Good people management and mentoring experience; we want you to help shape and develop our people
• Excellent communication skills, you can build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders
