About the Company:

The Buttonwood Foundation is backed by True Ventures, Framework Ventures, BlockTower Capital, NfX, Bitfinex/Tether, Mechanism Capital, Bixin, Founders Collective, and numerous DeFi founders (including from Coingecko, Balancer, Cozy, Syndicate, and many more).Prometheus Research Labs is a small team building the foundation’s protocols. These contracts are tools for the next generation of DeFi instruments—the web3 bond market, fiat-free stablecoins, yield splitters, long/short options.

• all DeFi leverage today is margin debt, which causes liquidations during times of high volatility—we’re the first team to build a no-liquidation debt market, unlocking safe DeFi borrowing for the vast majority of users
• all stablecoins today have dollars in them—we will be building fiat-free stables, allowing web3 to natively monetize itself
• all our projects are composed of simpler, open contracts called Buttonwood—we seek not to build a platform or walled garden, but a set of tools open to all 

Role:

PRL is developing complex applications that have the power to deliver a ton of value to decentralized finance participants. The UX designer will help distill the complexity into beautiful, logical interfaces that get the most out of the underlying systems. This is a critical role to bring the team’s projects to the world by generating engaged, recurring users.

Responsibilities:

• Design interfaces for complex decentralized finance applications
• Gather and distill feedback from customers and partners into actionable updates
• Work with the engineering team to iterate on designs over time

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in design, user experience, or related field
• Understanding of Decentralized Finance concepts and key projects
• Proven ability to generate logical interfaces for complex systems
