Senior Backend Developer

Contract Type: part-time (15-20 hrs/week). Potential for the role to become permanent

Salary: 5% Equity with salary upon successful funding round

What we are looking for

A capable developer experienced with cloud solutions and no-sql data storage to join our team on the backend as employee #1. We anticipate this role to grow over time into backend lead, and you to take over the planning and design of our backend systems, as well as, if you would have the interest, coordinating the team’s work as it grows. 

The role is currently based on equity allocation but a budget has been allotted for a salary upon successful funding round. 

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience of programming in Python
• Ideally, some experience with Google Cloud, web scraping solutions like scrapy, search engines like Elasticsearch, and no-sql databases like MongoDB (the more the better)
• Preferably an experience in creating large scale, maintainable code and developer friendly APIs
• A trained eye for data privacy, protection, and security
