We’re looking for someone who enjoys both teaching and practice, who has expertise in building and designing robust and scalable software and who tells us how to do things and yet is open to feedback.

Challenges & Responsibilities

• Deliver critical features for our products in a timely manner
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of our products by helping to design the right abstractions for our features and optimising our processes
• Take ownership of the efforts to reduce our technical debt
• Take charge of designing processes and way of working to retain a high velocity of feature development, while ensuring quality
• Help ensure our customer facing documentation remains technically accurate
• Help ensure priorities remain aligned regarding our roadmap and our customer needs

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundations and experience writing high quality code
• Prior Experience with software that is high-availability, large scale and has high uptime requirements
• Strong experience in a programming languages such as Scala (JVM / functional / object oriented)
• Experience working in the cloud
• You can explain difficult subjects clearly and you like sharing knowledge
• You keep up to date with latest developments and are able to introduce them to our products where applicable

Bonus points:

• experienced with Kubernetes and GCP
• experienced with Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka or Spark (Databricks)
• experienced with open source contributions

Compensation

• Salary range €80k — €115k for top candidates in preferred locations.
